Image Area/Bleeds/Traps

TRAPS22Maintain 1/16″ margin from all die-line/folds for all art. When necessary, provide a minimum of 1/16″ bleed, 1/8″ bleed is preferred.

Original Artwork/Scans

testPlease include placed graphics and photographs when sending. Please make sure that all Photoshop files are layered. Do not flatten. Do not embed artwork/scans. Resolution should be a minimum of 300 dpi at final size.

Gray vs. 4 Color

GRAY-GRAYDrop shadows print better if they are black only rather than 4 color and when set to multiply or overprint. Grays that are a screen percentage of black are often better than a 4 color process gray.

Line Weight, Dot and Gradients

lines-3Line weights less than 0.5 point will often not print well. For all gradient and four color process work the minimum dot is 1%. A gradient fading to zero will often form a hard line at the edge of the last dots.

Fonts

fontsSupply the screen and printer fonts used in the document. For specific type effects we recommend using Adobe Illustrator. For fonts with special restrictions (licensed), you can turn the font into a path or outline (outlines).
